Empowering Students with Digital Skills: .ng Academy’s Career Talk Initiative
As part of our Street Digital Skills Awareness program, .ng Academy conducted career talks for 475 students from Government Technical College, Ado Soba, and Agidingbi, Lagos, on May 8 and 15, 2024, respectively. The sessions focused on “Staying at the Forefront of Emerging Technologies,” equipping students with insights into the evolving digital landscape.
To further expand this initiative, discussions were held with the Lagos State Vocational and Technical Board (LASTVEB) to extend the career talks to the remaining three schools under its jurisdiction.
Additionally, on June 5, 2024, we trained 60 school counselors responsible for guiding students in these institutions. The specialized session, “Enhance Your Digital Skills: A Programme for LASTVEB Counselors,” aimed to empower them with the knowledge needed to support students in navigating digital career opportunities.
.ng Academy remains committed to bridging the digital skills gap by preparing students and educators for the future of work.
